Effective December 1, 2015, Airbnb has entered into an agreement with the Florida Department of Revenue to remit the STATE SALES TAX for its customer.

Please be aware that Gulf County HAS NOT entered into any agreement with Airbnb. The Gulf County Tourist Tax is 5.0%. Florida Administrative Code 12A-1.060(l)(a)9 requires every person who is engaged in the business of transient rental to be registered with the Gulf County Tax Collector to collect and remit the required tourist tax. Airbnb's agreement with the Florida Dept, Of Revenue has NO impact on the filing and remitting of the Gulf County Tourist Tax.
